  • Around 4:30 PM on 2009May05 I was standing by on the exit ramp to go East on Charleston Blvd. in the lane to my right was a black Dodge Caliber. The 40ish woman motorist had her eyes closed however moved ahead when the light turned green. I, being on the left, entered the crossing & moved into the away left (of 3) lane. The Black Caliber grabbed the middle however kept right on moving above into the away left lane. As soon as I realized that the motorist was totally disregarding my position I sounded the horn to alert her. There was no signal from the Dodge, no 'knee jerk' correction from the driver, there was nothing however total disregard that she was creating potential for a collision. I of course braked & gave her a round of applause (the extent of my Road Rage) as soon as it was safe to do so. It was then that I saw that there was a child in the front commuter seat. I hope the motorist snapped out of her apathy & that they received house safely.
