Presidential Preference Trends Found Among iPhone and Android Users

According to a recent poll conducted by Velti and Harris Interactive of Android and iPhone users, Obama is the preferred presidential candidate when compared to Romney by 18 points. 49% of the 800 poll responders said they would re-elect Obama if the election were held today, and 31% would vote for Romney.

Further preferences were found among these smartphone users according to their age, sex, employment status, and income and education levels.

Among respondents who were retired, 57% support Romney and only 34% support Obama. Those who were college educated tended to favor Obama, however – 56% compared to 35% for Romney. Household incomes higher than $75,000 per year also prefer Obama with 49% and only 39% planning to vote for Romney.
